"Massage Today" rated Boris'
DVD Series "10 OUT OF 10"
"These DVDs are excellent for reviewing
massage work on many different problems. I
recommend purchasing the entire set to gather the full scope of
these techniques. In fact, viewing these
DVDs may spark a special interest in the
viewer to pursue further study." - Virginia Herring,

Boris Prilutsky has a
degree in physical education, a major in chiropractic medicine, and
has been practicing Russian medical massage for over 30 years. He is
the founding director and senior instructor at theInstitute of
Professional Practical
Therapy in Los Angeles,
Calif. This
background lends itself to the great DVDs that he has produced.
In these DVDs, Boris takes us through a learning experience
that will help viewers work on a variety of client problems. Each
DVD is easy to use and includes detailed instructions. The section
on "Massage Techniques" covers all of the proper strokes, while the
"Bonus Material" covers biographical and educational information on
Boris, his school, and the making of the DVDs.
The camera
work is excellent at capturing the techniques, making the program
simple to follow and easy to understand. Messages scroll across the
bottom of the screen from time to time to emphasize certain
important points. In addition, Boris emphasizes points he feels are
important, including clear explanations and descriptions, warnings
of what not to do, and directions regarding proper exercise form.
Volume one topics include: disc herniation, lumbalgia,
sciatic nerve neuralgia, post-isometric relaxation, and back
rehabilitative exercises. Volume two covers hypertension, dizziness,
headaches, vision problems (secondary to vertebral artery syndrome),
greater occipital neuralgia, neck rehabilitative exercises, and
full-body medical stress management massage. Volume three covers
fibromyalgia, full-body medical massage, pregnancy massage,
acupressure for tension headaches, and a rehabilitative exercise
program. Volume four covers European Cranio Sacral Therapy, thoracic
outlet syndrome, rotator cuff syndrome, frozen shoulder, tennis/golf
elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, post-isometric relaxation, and
shoulder rehabilitative exercises. Volume five covers

post-event sports rehabilitative full-body massage.
These
DVDs are excellent for reviewing massage work on many different
problems. I recommend purchasing the entire set to gather the full
scope of these techniques. In fact, viewing all five DVDs may spark
a special interest in the viewer to pursue further study.
